The Commissioner

Marian Cree has spent her entire working career in the Public Sector. Her main career was in the NI Civil Service, holding many policy posts for a period covering 32 years. In 2015, Marian established the first Northern Ireland base for the Competition & Markets Authority and was the Head of the Office for two years. 
 

Marian was appointed to the role of Legal Service Oversight Commissioner (LSOC) in April 2017. 

She has also served a 3-year term as a Commissioner on the Parades Commission and, since 2018, has been a Board member for ASCERT, a charitable organisation that supports young people with addiction problems.

Marian is the mother of a daughter and grandmother to two loving grandchildren.
